Northwest Persian tribal and village rugs 

Weavings designated as Northwest Persian are almost exclusively from the Azerbaijan province of Iran.  Woven by mostly Turkic people, the design repertoire of these rugs overlaps significantly with that of Kurdish, South Caucasian and East Anatolian rugs.
